Meet My Family
As a mother to five, I understand the desire to have updated photographs! Three of my kids have gotten married in the last three years alone! Keeping photographs updated can be stressful, but it is so worth it in the end. If you want to capture your family through every stage of their lives, but aren't sure where to start, then you've come to the right place.
A little about me

I’m Shelby
I was born and raised in small-town Kansas. My formal education is in Biology, as I wanted to become a doctor. Once I married my high school sweetheart and started a family, I had a new calling.

My beginning
I followed in my mother's footsteps becoming a photographer. She started an in-home studio that I took over, and I mostly shot weddings (on film!!) in the beginning.

Me now
After photographing weddings for many years, my lens took me in yet another direction. I have a strong love for capturing seniors, families, and children! Christmas photography is my all time favorite! I love capturing these timeless moments and turning them into an art piece, which will be treasured forever.

In my free time
When I am not taking pictures or editing, I am most often spending time with my two boxers, my husband, my kids, or my grandbabies! I love to travel and hang out by the pool in the summers, but stay inside with all the blankets in the winter!
About My Style
My style blends the comprehensive approach of traditional photography with a contemporary eye for design. I like props, but I like expressions, moments, and stories even more. When you hire me you will be working with a full-time photographer with over 25 years of experience. Your photos will be professionally edited, color corrected, balanced and composed. I will even act as your personal image consultant and design your in-home photo gallery for a beautifully organized wall display.
